Thompson Moving & Storage, Inc. has been providing individuals and businesses in the Orland Park, Illinois area with professional moving services since 1947. The price and timeframe were well within the estimates, and the team stopped at the storage unit with the remained of my household pieces that wouldn't fit into my much-smaller "new" home. Fabulous movers and great experience!! I was downsizing ~40 years worth of my Orland Park home's accumulated contents to a much smaller abode in Evanston, some 35 miles away. The final moving price was well within estimated timeframe and price. No unwelcome surprises. Only one tiny bit of damage to edge of one Ikea-quality item; no biggie, given the size of this move. They crated and carefully moved valuable vintage items. Very personable team; they stopped at storage unit after moving so many items at end of long day and remained in good (but tired!) spirits. I was happy to discover they perform interstate moving as well. From the quote provided by co-owner, John, to the movers, Adam, Alan, Alex, and Duffy, everyone conducted themselves in an efficient and professional manner. We had a unique need that Thompson was able to fulfill for which 3 other moving companies would have charged hundreds of dollars more. In addition, they were able to deliver our furniture the next day, instead of up to 5 business days with other movers. Thompson handled our furniture with care, including dismantling and reassembling of larger pieces. All items arrived without any damage or loss.
